Explore customizing the Interfrosted capabilities of Archetype Glass’ Quarterly Subscription Program’s 2023 First Quarter Collection
This quarter our Quarterly Subscription Program’s samples explored our ability to customize our glass’ allowable light transmittance, diffusion, and transparency.
For our third in-depth look at this quarter’s collection, we’re featuring the sample that demonstrates our Interfrosted diffusion capabilities.
By incorporating a selectable frosted layer within our custom laminated glass (hence, our Interfrosting), this sample demonstrates our ability to dial-in a blurred diffusion in our glass through a custom layer within the design solution. In this example, the etching is delicately and only briefly applied, resulting in a slightly blurred and diffused effect while maintaining a glossy and polished exterior surface – an approach that allows for high light transmittance while at the same time creating a gauze-like screen for semi-private applications.

Ideal for transparent applications where diffused transparency is desired (such as partition walls and custom glass doors where a specified light transmittance is required but variable transparency is needed between spaces), our light surface frosted etched glass provides the customization your next project calls for.
installed examples of our custom Interfrosted glass in our Hakkasan Restaurant Project.
For an example of this glass in an installed setting, our Hakkasan Restaurant project near Times Square in New York features multiple examples of our Interfrosted glass in varying applications. Also, although the example of our Interfrosted glass in this quarter’s collection features a neutral grey color, this glass is available in any customizable color.
