Explore customizing the heavy diffusion capabilities of Archetype Glass’ Quarterly Subscription Program’s 2023 First Quarter Collection
For the second in-depth look at our Quarterly Subscription Program’s 2023 First Quarter Collection, this week we’re featuring the sample in the Q1 collection demonstrating our heavy surface frosted etch.
By incorporating a selectable “acid frosted” surface, this sample demonstrates our ability to dial-in a blurred diffusion in our laminated glass through a custom etched surface layer.
A RENDERING OF HOW OUR heavy acid etched SAMPLE INCLUDED IN OUR QSP FIRST QUARTER COLLECTION IS VIEWED IN THIS DESIGN SETTING.
Ideal for both single-sided applications (such as flat-mounted custom wall cladding where texture or a touchable surface is desired), or in transparent applications where diffused transparency is desired (such as partition walls and custom glass doors where a specified light transmittance is required but variable transparency is needed between spaces), our surface frosted glass provides the customization your next project calls for.

For an example of this glass in an installed setting, our Gates Vascular Institute project features multiple examples of our heavy surface frosted glass in varying colors, as well as a translucent example abutting the doors between spaces. Also, although the example of heavy surface frosted etch glass in this quarter’s collection features a neutral grey color, this glass is available in any customizable color (such as the deep blue and wine-colored examples at the Gates Vascular Institute).
